Ovoid Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jug, Northeastern U.S. origin, circa 1830, approximately three-quart stoneware jug with tooled shoulder and spout, decorated with a brushed daub of cobalt on the front and cobalt at the handle terminals. As-made condition with a recessed spot on left side of jug. H 9 1/2".
