Half-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Pitcher, Mid-Atlantic origin, circa 1875, with ovoid body, tooled midsection, and rounded foot, decorated with a brushed cobalt drooping flower design and the fraction "1/2" along the spout. 3 1/2" x 4 1/4" reglued wedge at collar, with some small flecks of clay missing where it is reglued. One crack, which forms part of this wedge, extends 5 1/2" vertically from rim. Two base chips, measuring 1 3/4" and 7/8". H 9 1/4".
