Two White Family Stoneware Jugs with Cobalt Bird Decorations, second half 19th century, a one-gallon jug with slip-trailed cobalt bird decoration, stamped 'WHITES.UTICA," and a two-gallon jug with brushed and slip-trailed cobalt paddletailed bird design, stamped "N.A. WHITE & SON / UTICA. N.Y." One-gallon jug with restored handle, 1 1/4" base chip, in-the-firing spot of residue on reverse, 4" Y-shaped line extending from base on reverse, 7" crack from spout, and 1 1/4" flake to right of handle. Three-gallon jug with restored handle, spout damage, 2 1/2" x 1 3/4" base flake on reverse, base chips, chips around midsection, and contact mark on front shoulder area. H (of one-gallon jug) 10 1/2".
