Scarce Albany Slip Glazed Holly Springs, Mississippi, Stoneware Canning Jar, late 19th century, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder and flaring rim, covered in a brown Albany slip glaze. Impressed below the rim with a maker's mark that is not fully impressed, which reads "S. SM?? / & BRO / [H]OLLY SPRIN[GS] / ?". Small rim chips. H 9".
