Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Cake Crock, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1860, low-walled cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, squared rim, and applied tab handles, decorated with brushed cobalt swags on the front and reverse and under the handles with drape-like design. Hairline extending across underside and up one side approximately 2 1/4". Handle chip. Small base chip. Rim chip. Contact mark near base on one side. H 5 1/4" ; Diameter 3/4".
