Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Cream Jar, Dated 1860, attributed to J.D. Heatwole, Rockingham Co., VA, ovoid jar with flattened rim, decorated with cobalt dashes and the name "Noah Later?" and date "1860" in cobalt script. Two recessed areas and smaller recessed contact marks on surface. Large base chips. 5 1/2" hairline from rim. H 7".
