Glazed Redware Jug, New England origin, possibly Gonic, NH, early to mid 19th century, ovoid jug with tooled foot, thick spout, and ribbed strap handle, decorated with daubs of manganese over olive ground with orange spots. Surface covered in a clear lead glaze. Shoulder accented with an incised wavy line. 1/2" lamp wire hole drilled in underside. 1" base chip. Light wear to handle. A few very minor nicks of glaze wear to spout. H 8 1/2".
