Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stamped "F.B. NORTON & CO. / WORCESTER, MASS.," circa 1875, straight-sided jar with rounded shoulder, flared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed cobalt leaf design. Jagged crack from rim on reverse with small sliver missing from it. Crack is glued improperly and ends at base. A second crack on underside continues 3" onto side of jar, through a 1/2" chip filled with a white substance. H 11".
