Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Butter Crock, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1880, with applied tab handles, decorated front and back with two large, brushed cobalt clovers. 4 1/2" horizontal line on one side, which may have occurred during the firing. 2 1/2" vertical hairline from rim. Restored vertical cracks, extending onto underside. Small chip on interior of rim. H 5" ; Diameter 9 3/4".
