Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1850, ovoid jar with squared rim and applied tab handles, decorated front and back with large brushed cobalt swag and fan-shaped flower motifs. Excellent condition; an in-the-firing vertical separation on interior, which is not visible on exterior, a small chip to corner of one handle, and a small nick to base. H 12 1/8".
