Sponge-Decorated Stoneware Dog, Ohio origin, late 19th century, molded mastiff-type dog covered in a bristol slip glaze and decorated with sponged cobalt slip. Eyes and mouth decorated with a light brown slip. Small base chips. H 6 3/4".
