Four-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Leaf Decoration, New York State origin, circa 1875, straight-sided crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed cobalt leaf design. Y-shaped crack on underside, continuing up side of jar under handle, and forming another Y there. Large 4 3/4" base flake. Rim chips. H 11 1/4".
