Five-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Elaborate Cobalt Vine Decoration, Stamped "A.O. WHITTEMORE / HAVANA, NY," circa 1870, straight-sided crock with semi-squared rim and applied lug handles, cobalt-decorated with a large slip-trailed looping vine design and two 5's underscored by cobalt dashes. Fry to cobalt. 6" inverted Y-shaped line. 1/2" flake to side of crock. H 12".
