One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Slip-Trailed Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "B.C. MILBURN," Alexandria, VA origin, circa 1850, ovoid jar with semi-rounded rim and applied tab handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of flowers and graduated leaves extending from handle to handle. Reverse decorated with slip-trailed tassel or leaf designs extending from a wavy line. Excellent color. Base chips. Otherwise mint condition. H 9 1/2".
