Rare Five-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Elaborate Cobalt Tulip Decoration, Stamped "BELL," Strasburg, VA origin, circa 1900, large-sized, ovoid jar with squared rim and extruded handles, profusely-decorated on the front and back with a brushed cobalt vine bearing three large tulip blossoms. Exceptional color and size. Impressed with Bell maker's mark under one handle. Broken into several pieces and professionally restored, including some touch-up to decoration. H 15 1/4".
