Sewertile Stump Match Safe on Base with Applied Deer, Incised "OCTOBER. 3. 1905. T.H.," Midwestern origin, slab base with match safe in the form of a hollowed tree stump with applied knots and roots, flanked by two hand-modeled reclining deer. Incised detail to stump and base. Deer missing antlers, one ear each, and inner front leg on each. Two objects behind the deer are also missing. Length 7" ; Width 4 3/4".
