Exceedingly Rare Anna Pottery Salt-Glazed Stoneware Figural Piece, Incised "C. Kirkpatrick / Anna Pottery" and "Come Out of Your Ghourd for the Grange," Cornwall Kirkpatrick, Anna, IL, circa 1885, finely-molded, miniature figure of a man with hat extending from a hole in the side of a gourd. Gourd attached to an octagonal pedestal, incised with the inscription "Come Out of Your Ghourd for the Grange" and signed by the maker "C. Kirkpatrick / Anna Pottery". Signed examples of Anna stoneware that include one or both of the Kirkpatrick brothers" names are considered rare. A finely-made example, which exemplifies the whimsical and imaginative nature of the Kirkpatricks" work. Small chips to base. H 3 1/2".
