Open-Handled Stoneware Jar, Stamped "COMMERAWS STONEWARE," Manhattan, NY, origin, circa 1810, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and open loop handles, decorated with an impressed swag and tassel design on the front and back, highlighted in cobalt. Impressed on one side "COMMERAWS" and on the opposite side "STONEWARE," also highlighted in cobalt. Handle terminals brushed with cobalt circles. Rim and base chips. H 11 3/4".
