Carved Decorative Wooden Killdeer, American, second quarter 20th century, with glass eyes and wire legs, the bird finely-carved with raised wing tips, the surface in highly-detailed original paint. Provenance: Purchased by the consignor's husband at the Maryland Waterfowl Festival in the 1960's. Pen inscription on underside of bird. Carving and base in excellent condition. H (of bird only) 7 1/2" ; L (of bird only) 9 1/2".
