Two Stoneware Jars, New England origin, 19th century, a one-gallon jar with both flowering plant design, stamped "CHARLESTOWN", Barnabas Edmands, Charlestown, MA, paired with a two-gallon jar with cobalt floral decoration, stamped "S.B. BOSWORTH / HARTFORD, CT." on reverse. Charlestown jar with some small chips to interior of rim, heavy chipping to inner rim, a 2 3/4" crack from rim, and some spider lines to body, one of which continues to a short distance onto underside. Bosworth jar with a small rim chip on reverse, minor chipping to bottom edge, some small traces of old white paint to front, and wear to inner rim for lid.
