Fine Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Inscribed "Cobbs / Boston Branch", Stamped "OTTMAN BRO'S / & CO. / FORT EDWARD, N.Y.", circa 1875, cylindrical jug with tooled spout, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a bird perched on a stylized branch, between the cobalt advertising, "Cobbs" and "Boston Branch". Light cobalt highights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Spout chips. Otherwise excellent condition.
