Two Pieces of Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware, Southern U.S. origin, later 19th or 20th centuries, a one-gallon ovoid pitcher with flared collar and olive-colored alkaline glaze, NC or GA origin, late 19th or 20th century; paired with a three-gallon ovoid jug with tapered shoulder and flared spout, the surface covered in a dark-brown alkaline glaze, impressed "3" on shoulder, Catawba Valley, NC origin, late 19th century. Both in excellent, essentially as-made condition.
