Half-Gallon Stoneware Butter Crock with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to D.P. Shenfelder, Reading, PA, circa 1870, cylindrical form with tooled shoulder and semi-squared rim, decorated with an undulating vine bearing graduated leaves and culminating in a tulip blossom. A short hairline on underside, extending approximately 3" up front of crock. Chips and nicks to rim.
