Four-Gallon Stoneware Churn with Cobalt Parrot Decoration, Stamped "F.B. NORTON & CO. / WORCESTER, MASS", circa 1870, semi-ovoid churn with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a large slip-trailed design of a parrot perched on a spotted leaf. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Significant restoration to underside and surface, not touching decoration. Entire surface has been lacquered. Two small chips to top of rim. Wear to churn rim and inner rim for lid.
