Three-Gallon Salt-Glazed Stoneware Jar, Stamped "T. ANDERSON", Indiana County, PA origin, circa 1830, ovoid jar with heavily-tooled shoulder, applied tab handles, and semi-squared rim, impressed with the maker's mark, "T. ANDERSON", below a three-gallon capacity mark. Rim secured with wire. A long inverted-Y-shaped crack from rim on reverse, which occurred in the firing. A long tight t-shaped line on underside, not visible on interior. This line also extends onto base, where it forms a second t. Two small rim chips on reverse. A small base chip adjacent to a small glazed-over chip on underside. A minor stone ping to bottom edge.
