Unusual Miniature Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Drape Decoration, Northeastern U.S. origin, circa 1820-1835, ovoid jar with footed base, flared collar, and applied lug handles, decorated on the front and reverse with a brushed cobalt drape design. Heavy cobalt highlights to handles. Highly unusual, whitish Bristol-slip-glazed interior. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with a small glazed-over dent to base. H 4 1/2".
