Two Glazed Redware Jars, Huntington, Long Island, NY or Norwalk, CT origin, second quarter 19th century, both of cylindrical form with daubed manganese decoration and clear lead glaze. Shorter jar with wear and a few shallow chips to exterior and interior of rim, wear to shoulder, and scratches to glaze on body of jar. Taller jar with 3 1/2" crack from rim, a glazed-over 5 1/4" vertical line in body, a 1 1/8" rim chip, wear to rim, wear to shoulder, some white water glass residue to surface, and base chips. H (of taller jar) 10 1/2".
