Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug, Stamped "N. CLARK / ATHENS," New York State origin, circa 1830, highly-ovoid jug with ribbed handle, decorated with brushed cobalt wreath surrounding the cobalt-highlighted maker's mark. Additional cobalt accent to lower handle terminal. Fry to cobalt. Small in-the-firing iron ping to side of jug.
