Six-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Foliate Decoration, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1880, ovoid jar with tooling to midsection and shoulder, flared collar, and applied lug handles, decorated on the front and back with large brushed leaves, as well as under each handle with swag-like brushwork. Hand-incised "6" at shoulder. In-the-firing bloated spots to surface. A small chip on exterior of rim and two chips on interior of rim.
