One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Incised Bird Decoration, Stamped "I. SEYMOUR / TROY," New York State origin, circa 1830, ovoid jug with tooled spout and ribbed handle, decorated with an incised and cobalt-highlighted design of a bird with well-detailed tail perched on a leaf. Excellent condition with a shallow chip to top of spout, possibly in-the-firing.
