Rare Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Cake Crock with Impressed Eagle Design, attributed to Henry H. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1835, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder and applied lug handles, decorated with a series of brushed stylized flowers on the front and back. Additionally impressed on one side with a highly unusual Federal eagle with shield, holding olive branches and arrows. Hairlines to underside. A few rim chips.
