Spongeware Bowl with Lid, American, late 19th century, molded bowl and domed lid, both decorated with cobalt sponging over a whitish ground, the lid with additional blue banding. Bowl with a shallow, in-the-firing flake to base, as well as a short line from rim, which is visible on interior only. Lid with chipping to flange on underside. H (of bowl) 4 3/4" ; D (of bowl) 10 1/4". D (of lid) 10 1/4".
