One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, attributed to R.J. Grier, Chester Co., PA, circa 1880, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and squared rim, decorated with a series of five brushed cobalt leaves around the body. Excellent condition with a very faint surface line at base, probably in-the-firing.
