Glazed Redware Jar, Bristol County, MA origin, early 19th century, ovoid jar with flared rim, decorated with a streaky lead glaze including manganese around the shoulder. Some dryness to glaze at shoulder. Glaze is incomplete over body of jar, revealing a large unglazed area to one side. Large flake off of underside. Chipping to rim. H 9".
