Extremely Rare Four-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stamped "N. CLARK / Parkersburg, VA," circa 1850, ovoid jar with applied tab handle and flattened rim with elaborate tooling, decorated with a brushed cobalt stem bearing two fan-shaped flowers. N. Clark stoneware from Parkersburg (now West Virginia) is considered difficult-to-find. Decorated examples are highly unusual. Professional restoration to cracks throughout, not touching decoration. Shallow chips on interior of rim. H 15".
