Price Realized: $632.50 ($550 hammer, plus 15% buyer's premium).

Scarce Two-Gallon Keyser, WV Stoneware Advertising Jar, Western PA origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and rounded rim, decorated with freehand stripes, a stenciled 2, and the advertising "JOHN HUGHES / KEYSER / WEST VA." Faint 3 1/2" line at midsection on reverse. Small glazed-over line at base on reverse. 4 1/4" hairline from rim on reverse. H 11".
