Two Miniature Redware Pitchers, American, 19th century, the first a thin-walled ovoid pitcher with strap handle and brown lead and manganese glaze; the second an ovoid pitcher with narrow foot, decorated with sponged manganese and covered in a clear lead glaze. Smaller pitcher with chips and wear to rim. Larger pitcher with larger rim chips, a few small spout nicks, and an in-the-firing separation in underside. Provenance of larger pitcher: Christie's Sale 6666, Oct. 1, 1988. H (of smaller pitcher) 2 1/4".
