Baltimore Stoneware Crock, Two-Gallon

Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1860, ovoid jar with squared rim and applied tab handles, decorated front and back with a double-stemmed brushed clover design. One handle restored. 6" hairline crack on underside, extending 3" up side of jar. Small chips to interior and exterior of rim. Faint 2" line to shoulder area. Small base chip. H 12 1/4".
