Scarce One-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Bird Decoration, Stamped "BANGOR STONEWARE CO. / BANGOR MAINE," circa 1875, straight-sided crock with rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a design of a crested bird with long tail and spotted body, perched on a leafy branch. Desirable size and decoration. Scattered flaking to reverse and right side of crock. Chip on interior of rim. Stone ping on exterior of rim. H 7 1/2".
