One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stamped "PAUL : CUSHMAN," Albany, NY, circa 1820, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and applied lug handles, impressed across the midsection with faint Paul Cushman signature and decorated at the handle terminals with brushed cobalt highlights. Excellent condition with a small in-the-firing rim chip, some shallow chipping to base, and very minor surface wear. H 9 3/8".
