One-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Floral Decoration and 1894 Date, attributed to Athens Pottery, Athens, NY, 1894, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, brush-decorated with a slip-stem tulip motif and the date, "1894," above. A small chip and minor nick to one handle. A thin 3 3/8" crack from rim on side of crock. A minor chip and some water glass residue to interior of rim. An area of silver paint, unrelated to any restoration, at base on side of crock. Some light staining. H 7 1/4".
