Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jug, Stamped "C. CROLIUS / MANUFACTURER / NEW-YORK," circa 1815, ovoid jug with heavily-tooled spout, brush-decorated with stylized, spotted drape motif around the maker's mark. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Heavy chipping to base. A thin crack through handle. Areas of grease staining. Some typical in-the-firing flaws to surface. H 13 7/8".
