Two Stoneware Jugs, including a rare three-gallon ovoid jug with heavily-tooled spout and applied ribbed handle, front featuring an incised shorebird decoration, Manhattan origin, circa 1800; together with a one-gallon jug stamped "W. H. LEHEW & CO. / STRASBURG, VA." Manhattan jug broken and crudely reglued, exhibiting remnants of old paint restoration and small missing fragments, and several base chips. Lehew jug missing handle with firing flaws and base chips. H (of tallest) 15".
