Quart-Sized Salt-Glazed Stoneware Jug, Stamped "MOFFITT," Manley R. Moffitt, Randolph County, NC, mid to late 19th century, ovoid jug with heavily-tooled shoulder, rounded spout, and thin strap handle, impressed with "MOFFITT" maker's mark below handle. Desirable size. A 1/2" chip to interior of spout. A small base chip. Handle with a small flake, a minor chip, and some short, minor surface lines. H 8".
