Two Redware Jars, Stamped "V. RUDOLPH," Shippensburg, PA, circa 1868-1888, both of ovoid form with tooled shoulders, the larger with thick, semi-square rim and lead-and-manganese-glazed interior, the smaller with tall, semi-squared rim and lead-glazed interior. Each impressed with V. Rudolph maker's marks on underside. Larger with a very tight crack from rim, exterior surface wear, a small in-the-firing ping to shoulder, light wear to interior, and some in-the-firing adhered clay to interior shoulder. Smaller with two small rim chips and a tight spider crack in underside, extending onto base area. H (of taller) 8 3/4".
