Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Face Jug, Signed and Dated "Michael Crocker / 01," Lula, GA origin, 2001, ovoid jug with hand-modeled and applied clay face including kaolin eyes with blue-slip highlights, eyebrows with incised details, realistic ears and nose with carved nostrils, open mouth with quartz teeth, and chin. Incised wrinkles to forehead. Applied parted hair with incising throughout. Surface covered in a streaky olive-colored alkaline glaze. Incised on underside with Michael Crocker signature and date. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 10".
