Six-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Chicken Pecking Corn Decoration, Stamped "OTTMAN BRO'S / & CO. / FORT EDWARD, N.Y.," circa 1875, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a chicken pecking kernels of corn from a shrubbed ground. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Excellent condition with a 5/8" chip to interior of rim. H 13".
