Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "F. STETZENMEYER & / G. GOETZMAN. / ROCHESTER.N.Y.," circa 1853-1860, ovoid jug with semi-squared spout, decorated with a large slip-trailed flower featuring a bull's-eye center and swag details to the petals and leaves. Slip-trailed "2" below spout. Cobalt highlight to maker's mark. A salt drip to front and shoulder. Long meandering hairlines to base area. Some very short, faint lines to spout. H 15".
