Rare Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Bean Pot, Stamped "L. MARSILLIOT., Euclid, OH origin, circa 1830, highly-ovoid jar with applied lug handles, brush-decorated with the number "1 1/2" over the large maker's mark of Leonard Marsilliot. Brushed cobalt stripe along the top of each handle. Exceptional form. Provenance: Robert and Nancy Treichler Collection, Tallmadge, OH. One handle with a small flake and some spalling to cobalt slip. A minor nick and minor wear to base. A salt drip to front. H 7 3/4" ; Diam. (at base) 7".
