Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Canning Jar, Stenciled "A.P. Donaghho, / Fredericktown, / Pa.," circa 1870, tapering jar with tooled shoulder, featuring lesser-seen A.P. Donaghho maker's stenciling used prior to his arrival in Parkersburg. Includes tin lid. Provenance: From a fifty-year West Virginia collection. Rim chips. A few minuscule nicks to wax sealer rim. Traces of old red paint to surface. H 8 1/8".
